YOUTHS AIM FIREWORKS AT TRAFFIC ON A5

On 06/11/2025 we received a number of calls reporting a group of youths setting off fireworks on the footbridge over the A5 from Hamble, Belgrave to the Kettlebrook Nature Reserve off the lakeside estate.

The group were first seen around 19:40hrs and made off from attending officers. They returned around 21:00 and again fled on off-road motorcycles.

The group were deliberately aiming fireworks towards traffic driving along the A5. Fortunately, no road traffic accidents occurred and nobody was injured. 

This mindless behaviour could have caused some serious harm and as such we would like to identify those responsible.
